Matt is our Ōtautahi-based designer with over 20 years’ experience leading the design and construction of significant architectural projects across New Zealand. His work is defined by a rigorous design sensibility, a deep respect for context, and a clear belief that architecture is ultimately about people.

Matt approaches each project with curiosity and intent, balancing creativity with discipline and clarity. He is known for his ability to distil complex briefs into intelligent, well-resolved architectural outcomes - solutions that are considered, purposeful, and enduring.

Design is not a role Matt steps into; it is a lifelong pursuit. He remains closely involved in every stage of a project, continually refining ideas, materials, and details to ensure the architecture is both conceptually strong and carefully executed. This commitment is underpinned by decades of practical experience navigating design, construction, and delivery.

Rem our four-legged design consultant and resident morale booster. A full-blooded Blue Heeler with a sharp eye for detail (and literally everything else), Rem keeps the studio on its toes - whether it’s chasing rogue pens, inspecting materials, or judging questionable coffee choices.
Part designer, part therapist, and all personality, Rem thrives on long walks, sunny deck spots, and any opportunity to remind the team who really runs the office. He may not draft plans or lead client meetings, but he’s indispensable when it comes to enforcing nap breaks, tail-wagging approvals, and general chaos management.
